I’m back in the forest again

I’ve not been posting as much but still trying to keep up with everyone, though a bit more slowly. I’m starting to feel better and I’m loving Robyn’s One Four challenge along with   Leanne’s Monochrome Madness 37 . I’ve been in a slump and trying to regain my enthusiasm after the wonderful holiday and a few minor family crises, not to mention the sore ribs, terrible weather, and not much money coming in!

and my first macro offerings with a real macro lens ( along with my crystal cave and ammonite )

All you wonderful macro artists,(you know who you are!!!)I’ve been inspired by you all.  Please feel free to drop me some hints or pointers at my contact me. Other than that I’m just practicing and not always getting the results I hope for!!  I’m using a Canon EF 100 mm macro f2.8 with stabilizer.

and as I am fond of traditional and  obscure pieces, I found another old folk song that I quite like. One of the compiled Child Ballads ( Some of you English bloggers might know it),  This song I think was also once sung by Joan Baez the famous American folk singer.

  10. Listening to the music while writing. I love your photos — the light breaking through the trees; the light refracting through the jewelry; and last but not least the observatory. I’ve always thought it would be so fascinating to visit an observatory and view the night sky through a huge telescope. This whole post just put me in a dreamy mood! I do hope you’re feeling better, dear Cybele. Hugs.

Hope your life will soon be on an even keel again, with both your body and your bank balance healed!

“Geordie” used to be one of my party pieces when I was a teenager. I think my singing was better than my guitar-playing! I love Joan Baez and can sing most of the songs in a collection of her works from the 60s. “The House Carpenter” is another particular favourite of mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RekFGUtexc

    1. Thank you Sarah!! Things will improve after winter lol!! Actually I enjoy Christmas and all the lights- so that is cheering!! thanks for the link to that beautiful song! That’s wonderful that you sang folk songs!! I also love some of the old jazz/blues pieces including those of Judy Henske who sang a combination of folk and jazz. You have to get past the intro to hear her sing Lord Henry – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB5SBpyFKDw. She had a wonderful voice.
